DOST-TAPI Conducts FOB Training for Regional Offices

The Technology Application and Promotion Institute of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST-TAPI) is currently conducting the first leg of Fairness Opinion Board (FOB) training for DOST – Regional Offices (Luzon cluster) at the City Garden Suites Hotel, Manila, 15-16 May 2019 [CLOSED].

The two-day training is a series of nationwide event being organized by the DOST through TAPI under the project entitled “Support to the Commercialization of 500 DOST Generated Technologies & Strengthening the Country’s Intellectual Property & Technology Portfolios.” This activity aims to capacitate each regional office in the preparation of the Issuance of a Fairness Opinion Report (FOR), including its requirements and process.

The topics being discussed are the Amended IRR of the Republic Act No. 10055 (Philippine Technology Transfer Act of 2009), Process and Procedures of Issuing a FOR, and Assessment of Request. Workshops and presentations were also prepared by TAPI experts and resource persons.
Visayas and Mindanao cluster will be next to complete for the training.
A total of 33 regional directors and staff attendees participates the event.
