Brief Description / Features of the Technology:
A decorticating machine for separating coir, peat and dust from coconut husk generally having a rectangular body comprises of: (a) horizontal grate bars snugly connected on the bottom portion of the rectangular main frame; (b) descending length counter blades protruding and fixedly attached onto the front portion of main frame; (c) bearings that are disposed within the side end portion of the main frame; (d) a driveshaft firmly connected to a decorticating rotor and securely connected to the bearings; (e) fixedly attached blades extending outwardly from the circumference of said decorticating rotor; (f) a large pulley securely connected at one end of the driveshaft; (g) a small sheave securely connected at the end shaft of an engine; (h) a hemispherical cover with a hopper and a discharge chute. The rotor blades of the decorticating machine are made of chromium-molybdenum alloy material arranged in the decorticating rotor 94-mm apart, six sets radially and eight sets axially with a five-degree helix angle blade positions.
