Brief Description /Features of the technology:

The present utility model provides a process for producing a fire retardant using nanosized sodium-modified montmorillonite, sodium silicate and water and its application thereof to wood-based materials. Mixing of component was carried out using manual stirrer at room temperature and through the use of ultrasonic bath.

  • Commercial fire retardants which are relatively expensive.
