TRANSPLANTER ATTACHMENT APPARATUS FOR HAND TRACTOR
Field / Industry: Agriculture
Patent Number / Registration Number: 2-2016-000212
Status of Application: On – going
Brief Description / Features of the Technology:
MIRDC in partnership with PhilMech developed a “hand tractor-attached transplanter”. Unlike commercially available transplanters which are self-propelled and dedicated machines, this developed implement funded by PCAARRD is readily mounted to and dismounted from a common hand tractor unit increasing further the utilization of the farm hand tractor. The 6-row transplanter is powered by a 7HP diesel engine with 600m3 per hour planting capacity for a rice seedling length of 30cm at a planting distance of 20-25cm. The planting depth is adjustable from 2-3cm. The planting distance and depth conforms to Philippine Agricultural Engineering Standards (PAES).
Problem Addressed:
Manual planting of rice through mechanization
Capability:
0.07 ha/person/day than manual planting. Increasing planting capacity to 700 to 10, 000 square meters per day
